Homemade Peaches & Cream Oatmeal
5 from 2 votes
A cozy bowl of creamy oats simmered with sweet peaches and finished with a splash of cream-warm, comforting, and sweet with a touch of maple syrup or brown sugar.
Servings: 4 people
Ingredients
- 2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats (I use organic)
- 4 cups Milk
- 1-1/2 cups Chopped peaches (You can really use whatever fruit you want, they can be fresh or frozen, strawberries go really well with this recipe)
- 2 TBS Maple syrup (Or brown sugar)
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- Pinch of salt (I use Baja Gold mineral salt)
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract
- 2-3 TBS Heavy cream or half & half (optional, this recipe will be just as yummy if you don't have cream)
Method
- Bring milk and salt to a gentle simmer in a pot.
- Stir in oats and cinnamon.
- Reduce heat to low and cook 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in peaches and maple syrup.
- Turn off heat and add vanilla and cream.
- Let sit for 2-3 minutes to thicken.
- I like to serve my oatmeal with a pat of butter on the top (so good!)

Notes
This recipe is flexible. If you don’t want fruit, you don’t have to add any. It’ll make a creamy delicious oatmeal either way! 🙂 Serves (4)

Hi Tina & Joe, I absolutely love your videos, Dear Tina and your recipes. I love your adventures to your cabin it’s so much fun. I am looking forward to purchasing 3 mugs from you one for me, my sister in Wellington and my sister-in-law in Singapore. I’m originally from Singapore. Your Homestead is beautiful and love the animals you raise. Will you be adding a horse to your Homestead since Parker took up lessons? God bless you and your family. Thank you 🩷
